Although not officially released until May 3rd, the Beastie Boys are allowing you to listen to their entire forthcoming album completely free. You can stream all 16 tracks from Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2 online right now.
I think this is a great way to leverage the internet to increase interest for their music. They’ve already done an awesome job releasing a “trailer” for the album a couple of days ago (which you can watch below). It’s refreshing to see bands try new things. It’s also fun to see what works and what doesn’t. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if this coup works out well for them.
I gave the album a listen and it’s good old classic Beastie Boys. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and if you’re a fan of Paul’s Boutique or Licensed To Ill then I think you’ll really like Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 as well.
