His focus is typically on generating more traffic, helping improve SEO, and overall doing better business.<\/li>\n<li>In the interview, John offers his personal tips for other advisors to use in their daily work with startups. He says that patience is the number one virtue that a startup advisor must possess, but that you also can\u2019t be too sensitive. He says that because smaller companies are often moving at a breakneck pace to accomplish their goals, they may ask for your advice in a particular area, but never actually utilize that advice as a result of oversight.
